Bogey — Therapy

K9 Bogey’s journey began at Alachua County Animal Resources, where he was chosen for the K9s for Warriors program, which supports veterans facing military-related challenges. After his training, Bogey became a certified therapy dog and was matched with a loving family. His renewed mission emerged with the K9s for Warriors Station Dog Program at the North Miami Police Department, where shelter dogs and those from previous placements find new roles. From day one, Bogey has brightened the days of officers, staff, and visitors, proving himself to be a genuine source of comfort. His infectious personality has made him a beloved partner with therapy dogs from various departments, including Miami-Dade and Miami Shores Police. Bogey’s impact extends across North Miami and beyond, engaging with the autism community, visiting schools and hospitals, and supporting the Clear the Shelter Campaign. Bogey is an uplifting hero to the North Miami community, spreading joy and healing wherever he goes.
