Charlie — Law Enforcement and First Responder

Charlie was born in Kansas City, Kansas, in 2020, and from the moment he was held as a tiny puppy, it was clear that Charlie was special. His intelligence, protective nature, and deep sense of responsibility stood out.

After his owner’s community in Kansas City faced the heartbreaking loss of a 3-year-old girl due to violence, his owner Cassidy had a strong desire to channel Charlie’s unique abilities for a greater purpose. Through dedicated training and multiple certifications, Charlie became a certified Cadaver Dog in 2024.

His first mission with the Kansas City Police Department was deeply personal, involving a search in the same neighborhood where the tragic incident had occurred. With remarkable skill, Charlie located a deceased person, helping to bring closure to a grieving family.

Charlie’s journey from a beloved puppy to a hero illustrates a profound commitment to making a difference.
